The Week of Respect

The Week of Respect was such a fun way to celebrate our first Character Strong trait of the month!

Throughout the week, students participated in spirit days to show their commitment to being kind and respectful. Students listened to stories, engaged in meaningful discussions about treating others the way we want to be treated, and decorated “hands” to remind us that we ALL have a HAND in showing respect at South Elementary!

It was a wonderful week filled with kindness, connection, and opportunities for our students to put respect into action. We are so proud of the way our students came together to celebrate what it means to be a respectful member of our school community!

In addition to buddy classes, students at South Elementary on Location are enjoying special visits from their buddy staff members this year! In September, Mrs. Cortina and Mr. Nocella spent time reading with students and completing a purposeful craft together.

This past Friday, Mr. Hudak joined the fun, spending time connecting with students and helping build the strong relationships that make our school community so special!
