Fourth Graders Visit Lambertville Public Library

Fourth-grade students visited the Lambertville Public Library to see their ocean watercolor paintings and clay coral reef sculptures display. What a meaningful and memorable experience for our students. Thank you to Mrs. Warchalowsky and the Lambertville Public Library for coordinating this. We are grateful for the opportunity to share student work within our local community!

Abilities Week

SHRES celebrated their annual Abilities Week! Throughout the week, students embraced all abilities and learned more about individuals with disabilities.

Throughout the week, students embraced all abilities and learned more about individuals with disabilities. Each day was filled with special activities including buddy activities, classroom activities led by teachers, crafts, and special guests! On Tuesday, volunteers from Fisherman's Mark were mystery readers for 4th grade. On Wednesday, SHRES students participated in hands-on activities to learn about vision impairments. With help from SHRES staff and a student from Kutztown University, Elyse Nadelman, students learned Braille, walked through a course using a white cane, and other tactile learning activities to learn about vision impairment.

On Friday, an SHRES parent, Samantha Nguyen, met with each grade level to talk about mental health and therapeutic care for children. She talked about connecting our thoughts and our feelings. There were also week-long spirit days to show off individuality amongst SHRES students!
