On Friday April 24th, the third graders came together to celebrate their much-anticipated International Day! This special event was all about exploring and honoring cultures from around the world.

In teams of two or three, students researched countries from every continent. They created beautiful books filled with interesting facts about each country’s traditional foods, dress, and customs. After weeks of hard work and creativity, the students presented what their country is known for to their families.

The celebration ended with a delicious international feast, featuring tasty dishes from the countries students studied. It was a joyful and colorful day full of learning, pride, and community.

The third graders did an amazing job, and we are all so proud of their hard work and teamwork!

Math-a-Thon

K-4 Students celebrated their Math-A-Thon efforts with a sweet ice cream treat, generously funded by our PTO!

By completing the math challenge and raising $1,540 for St. Jude, they made a meaningful impact in supporting children with cancer. We are so proud of their hard work and generosity!

First Grade Watershed Trip

Children engage in educational activities with adults in a classroom setting, observing an aquarium.

Last week, our first graders visited The Watershed Institute of Pennington and participated in a full day program titled, Nature’s Copycats. We were very fortunate that this program was funded by The Veolia Water Company of Lambertville. The Watershed Institute’s educational programs are aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards.

Children walk on a wooden boardwalk through a nature trail, guided by adults.

A young boy observes a frog in an aquarium labeled 'American Green Tree Frog'.

During the program, the children explored animal and plant adaptations and discovered how people can use these same ideas to invent solutions to human problems. The students gained a better understanding of biomimicry. The children also explored different animal displays and exhibits at the Watershed Center.

It was a lovely day for an educational walk along their boardwalk trail. Again, thank you to the Veolia Water Company for making this trip possible and thank you to the educators at the Watershed Institute for making it an amazing day.
