Family Literacy Night

On Wednesday, March 25th, the South Hunterdon Regional Education Association hosted its annual Family Literacy Night. The event was funded by the NJEA Public Education Partnership grant.

This year’s theme was Reading Rocks! There were a variety of activities to participate in, such as creating your own rock star, WORDLE, bracelet making, karaoke, BINGO for books, and rock painting.  After activities, students returned to the book tables to select free books to bring home!

Finally, Jay Cooper, author and illustrator, held a workshop style presentation where students were able to plan out a 4 frame graphic novel. They were excited to take home a signed copy of one of the books he illustrated- Bots.

We are thankful that this continues to be a well attended event where we can celebrate all things literacy!  We are already coming up with ideas for next year and we hope to see you there!

Feel free to fill out the
survey to let us know what you thought!
