| In South Elementary classrooms, inclusion is more than a model—it’s a mindset. Our special education teachers and support staff collaborate with general education teachers across grade levels to support student access and success. In co-taught classrooms, resource rooms, and self-contained settings, they use inclusive practices such as small-group instruction and multi-sensory learning experiences to create supportive, engaging environments where all students can thrive. |

Inclusion Family Night
Our district is excited to collaborate with local Girl Scouts for our first Inclusion Family Game Night on Thursday, February 19th from 6:15–7:15 p.m. in the South Hunterdon Regional Elementary School All-Purpose Room. Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for all families—especially those with sensory and communication needs—to feel comfortable and supported.
This evening will feature a variety of games and activities designed to promote connection, cooperation, and fun, with flexible options and accommodations available so every child and family can participate at their own comfort level. There will also be a local author visit! This event reflects our commitment to fostering an inclusive school community where all families feel valued and belong. Please click this link to RSVP.
